باب مَا جَاءَ فِي إِعْفَاءِ اللِّحْيَةِ
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2764
Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered trimming the mustache and leaving the beard to grow.
حَدَّثَنَا الأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَمَرَنَا بِإِحْفَاءِ الشَّوَارِبِ وَإِعْفَاءِ اللِّحَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ هُوَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ثِقَةٌ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ثِقَةٌ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ يُضَعَّفُ .

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Abu Bakr bin Nadi - the freed slave of Ibn 'Umar - is trustworthy, and 'Umar bin Nafi is trustworthy, and 'Abdullah bin Nafi the freed slave of Ibn 'Umar was graded weak.
