Mishkat al-Masabih 5976

Abu Bakr reported God's messenger as saying, "We[*] do not leave an inheritance; what we leave is sadaqa." i.e., the prophet. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَاهُ صَدَقَةٌ» . مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
