Marriage
Bulugh al-Maram 1028
Narrated Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur-Rahman (RA):
I asked 'Aishah (RA), "How much had Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) given as dowry?" She replied, "His dowry to his wives was twelve Uqiya and Nashsh." She asked, "Do you know what a an-Nashsh is?" I replied, "No." She said, "It is half an Uqiya. Hence, the total was five hundred Dirhams, and that was Allah's Messenger's (ﷺ) dowry to his wives."

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ ; أَنَّهُ قَالَ : { سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ اَلنَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَمْ كَانَ صَدَاقُ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَتْ : كَانَ صَدَاقُهُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ أُوقِيَّةً وَنَشًّا . قَالَتْ : أَتَدْرِي مَا اَلنَّشُّ ? قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَا . قَالَتْ : نِصْفُ أُوقِيَّةٍ . فَتِلْكَ خَمْسُمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ , فَهَذَا صَدَاقُ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -لِأَزْوَاجِهِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 .
