The Shoes Of Rasoolullah
Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 82
Jabir reported:
“The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) forbade one (referring to the man) to eat with his left hand, or to walk in a single sandal.”
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ، يَعْنِي الرَّجُلَ، بِشِمَالِهِ، أَوْ يَمْشِيَ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ.

comments
According to the majority of the ulama the fulfilment of these commands are meritorious, that means, not haraam. Some ulama of the Zaahir have stated that it is prohibited to act contrary to this.
