The Dressing Of Rasoolullah
Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 71
Urwa ibn al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba said that his father said:
“The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) wore a Byzantine robe with narrow sleeves.”
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، لَبِسَ جُبَّةً رُومِيَّةً، ضَيِّقَةَ الْكُمَّيْنِ.

Explanation
comments
This incident was at the time of Ghazwah Tabuk. The 'Ulama have interpreted from this hadith that a thing made by non-believers is not najis (na-paak) till we can outwardly find of this. Upto that time there were no Muslims in Rome, and Sayyidina Rasulullah (S.A.W) wore the clothing made by them.
