Al-Bara’ ibn 'Azib said:

“Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) was of medium height, broad-shouldered, and the hair of his head touched the lobes of his ears.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرْبُوعًا، بَعِيدَ مَا بَيْنَ الْمِنْكَبَيْنِ، وَكَانَتْ جُمَّتُهُ تَضْرِبُ شَحْمَةَ أُذُنَيْهِ‏.‏
