What Rasoolullah Would Eat with Bread
Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 166
Abu Huraira said:
‘The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was brought some meat, so the foreleg was set before him, and he liked it, so he took a bite of it.”
حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِلَحْمٍ، فَرُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ الذِّرَاعُ، وَكَانَتْ تُعْجِبُهُ، فَنَهَسَ مِنْهَا.

Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam has encouraged the use of the teeth to eat. It is related in the hadith, that it should be torn and eaten, because it digests properly and it is more suitable to the body.
