The Turban Of Rasoolullah
Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 114
'Amr ibn Huraith reported that his father said:
"I saw a black turban on the head of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace).”
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُسَاوِرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ‏:‏ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ‏.‏

In Muslim and Nasai, Hazrat Amr bin Huraith radiyallahu anhu says, "That scene is still before my eyes, when Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam was delivering the sermon on the mimbar. He wore a black turban on his auspicious head, and its shamlah (the end portion of the turban) was between his shoulders.
