Mishkat al-Masabih 5681

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported the Prophet as saying, "The awnings of hell have four thick walls, each wall a distance of forty years." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لِسُرَادِقِ النَّارِ أَرْبَعَةُ جُدُرِ كِثَف كل جِدَار مسيرَة أَرْبَعِينَ سنة ". رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
