Mishkat al-Masabih 4543

Jabir told that the Prophet had himself cupped above the thigh for a contusion from which he suffered. Abu Dawud transmitted it.

وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ عَلَى وَرِكِهِ مِنْ وَثْءٍ كَانَ بِهِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
