Mishkat al-Masabih 4375

‘Alqama b. Abu ‘Alqama quoted his mother as saying that when Hafsa daughter of ‘Abd ar-Rahman visited ‘A’isha wearing a thin veil, ‘A’isha tore it and put a thick veil on her. Malik transmitted it.

وَعَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ: دَخَلَتْ حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ وَعَلَيْهَا خِمَارٌ رَقِيقٌ فَشَقَّتْهُ عَائِشَةُ وَكَسَتْهَا خمارا كثيفا. رَوَاهُ مَالك
