Zaid b. Khalid said that God’s messenger prohibited reviling a cock, saying that it is making the caH to prayer. It is transmitted in Sharh as-sunna.

وَعَن زيدِ بن خالدٍ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ سَبِّ الدِّيكِ وَقَالَ: «إِنَّهُ يُؤَذِّنُ للصَّلاةِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
