Jabir said God’s Messenger forbade that a sword which has been drawn should be handed to anyone. Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُتَعَاطَى السَّيْفُ مَسْلُولًا. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد
