Bulugh al-Maram 849
Narrated Ibn 'Umar (RA):
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the sale of fruits till they appear to ripe, forbidding it both to the seller and to the buyer.
[Agreed upon].
وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- قَالَ: { نَهَى رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَنْ بَيْعِ اَلثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا, نَهَى اَلْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .

A narration has:
"When he was asked about (the words): 'appear to be ripe'?" He (ﷺ) replied, "Till they were safe from damage or disease."
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: وَكَانَ إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنْ صَلَاحِهَا? قَالَ:
" حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ عَاهَتُهُ " 1 .
