(4) Musnad Uthman ibn Affan

مُسْنَدُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

Musnad Ahmad 496

It was narrated from `Aban bin `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) from ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه), who attributed it to the Prophet (ﷺ) , that [the latter] said:

`The pilgrim in ihram should not get married or propose marriage.`

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ‏.‏
