(75) Chapter: The excellence of someone who provides for an orphan in the company

(75) بَابُ فَضْلِ مَنْ يَعُولُ يَتِيمًا مِنْ أَبَوَيْهِ

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 136

Abu Bakr ibn Hafs reported that 'Abdullah would not eat unless an orphan was at his table.

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلاَءُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ كَانَ لاَ يَأْكُلُ طَعَامًا إِلاَّ وَعَلَى خِوَانِهِ يَتِيمٌ‏.‏
