(560) Chapter: Squatting
(560) بَابُ الْقُرْفُصَاءِ
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1178
Qayla related, "I saw the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, sitting squatting. When I saw the Prophet, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, humble in his form of sitting, I trembled from fear."
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتَايَ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ عُلَيْبَةَ، وَدُحَيْبَةُ بِنْتُ عُلَيْبَةَ، وَكَانَتَا رَبِيبَتَيْ قَيْلَةَ، أَنَّهُمَا أَخْبَرَتْهُمَا قَيْلَةُ قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَاعِدًا الْقُرْفُصَاءَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ الْمُتَخَشِّعَ فِي الْجِلْسَةِ أُرْعِدْتُ مِنَ الْفَرَقِ.
